Republican Lawmakers Speak Out Against Medicaid Expansion
HARRISBURG – At a Capitol news conference this afternoon, Rep. Dan Moul (R-Adams/Franklin) joined more than 60 other Republican members of the General Assembly in opposing Medicaid expansion in the Commonwealth.

“Medicaid was set up to serve as a safety net for Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable citizens – impoverished children, the elderly and the disabled,” said Moul. “However, changes must be made to the existing system to improve efficiencies and ensure reliable, sustainable access to quality health care. To add hundreds of thousands of additional people to the Medicaid rolls at this time makes no sense from an economic or health care delivery standpoint.”
