Reps. Moul, Tallman Tout Adams Program to Collect Unused, Expired Medication
9/14/2010

Reps. Dan Moul (R-Adams/Franklin) and Will Tallman (R-Adams/York) said Adams County residents can safely dispose of their unused or expired medications at several drop-off sites during a special collection event on Saturday, Sept. 25.

“According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 70 percent of people who abuse prescription pain relievers get them from friends or relatives,” said Moul.  “That’s why it’s important to keep track of medications and to properly dispose of drugs you are no longer using.”

On Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Adams County TAKE BACK will provide an opportunity for citizens to dispose of their unused or expired medications at one of the following drop off sites:

  • Adams County Agricultural Center, 670 Old Harrisburg Road, Harrisburg
  • Bermudian Springs School District, 7335 Carlisle Pike, York Springs
  • Biglerville High School, 161 N. Main St., Biglerville
  • United Hook & Ladder #33, 21 N. Bolton St., New Oxford
  • Fairfield Fire Department, 108 Steelman St., Fairfield
  • Alpha Fire Co. #1, 40 E. King St., Littlestown
