HARRISBURG -The Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex currently contains the statewide stockpile of personal protective equipment (PPE) for use by the health care industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. Rep. Dan Moul (R-Adams) recently expressed concern about storing such a vital commodity in a building prone to flooding and vermin and urged the Wolf administration to find a more suitable location.

Moul also pointed out that the abundance of PPE stored at the Farm Show Complex precludes the facility from hosting agricultural shows and events – as it was intended - and providing a venue for various vendors who lease the space for trade shows that generate revenue for the Commonwealth.

This afternoon, Moul and some of his House colleagues met with event organizers and 4-H members concerned that the annual All-American Dairy Show (Sept. 18-22) and the Keystone International Livestock Exhibition, (Oct. 1-10), will be canceled.

“We reiterated our concerns about the presence of the PPE at the Farm Show Complex and urged the Wolf administration to act now to ensure these important agricultural events will occur as scheduled,” Moul said.
