Moul a Member of Four House Committees in New Term

Rep. Dan Moul (R-Adams/Franklin) said he is happy to be named to four House committees that will enable him to make the greatest gains for the citizens of Adams and Franklin counties.

“For the first time since being elected to the House, I am particularly pleased to have been named to the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee,” said Moul.  “My legislative district is largely rural and agricultural.  In fact, Adams and Franklin counties are facing some unique agricultural challenges and I am hopeful that I, as a committee member, can be instrumental in helping the agriculture community through these challenging times.”

Moul, an avid sportsman, has been reappointed to Game and Fisheries Committee where he will continue working on game management issues and protecting hunting and fishing opportunities for all future generations to enjoy.

As a member of the Children and Youth Committee, Moul will continue to advocate for the rights of children just as he did when he authored a new law aimed at holding so-called deadbeat parents accountable for child support payments.  Moul’s legislation makes it possible for Pennsylvania to extradite and penalize parents who leave the state to avoid paying child support.

Finally, Moul has been reappointed to the Tourism and Recreation Development Committee.  Gettysburg National Historic Park, museums, tours and other amenities attract more than 3 million visitors to the region each year, generating more than $103 million in state revenue.

“I will continue to look for ways to make Pennsylvania a more attractive tourism destination,” said Moul.  “With so many people out of work these days, I will look for ways to enhance the ability of small businesses to thrive and provide jobs.”
