Moul Defends Title at Farm Show Event That Raises Money for Agriculture Scholarship Foundation - Horse driving event benefits college students studying agriculture sciences
HARRISBURG – Rep. Dan Moul (R-Adams) went to the state Farm Show Complex on Tuesday evening to defend his title in the Celebrity Horse Driving Competition – an event he won in each of the past two years, but the real purpose was to raise awareness and funding to support the future of Pennsylvania agriculture.

“This event presents an opportunity for some good-natured fun among legislators and representatives of the local media, but the real focus is to support the Farm Show Scholarship Foundation, which provides college scholarships to students studying agriculture,” said Moul.

“Agriculture and the many businesses that stem from it contribute significantly to our state’s economy,” said Moul. “The scholarships supported by this event help to ensure that young people will get the education and training necessary to keep this industry strong for generations to come.”

Since the Farm Show Scholarship Foundation was established in 1993, it has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to nearly 400 members of FFA and 4-H who have demonstrated a commitment to Pennsylvania agriculture.
