Moul Promotes Local Travel to Save Money, Boost Local Economy
6/8/2009
As Pennsylvanians cope with the dismal economy, Rep. Dan Moul (R-Adams/Franklin) is encouraging residents to plan summer vacations close to home as a way to save money and contribute to the local economy.

Pennsylvania annually attracts more than 100 million visitors, a figure that has been steadily climbing for several years now.  To help visitors better plan their vacations, the state of Pennsylvania provides travelers with a number of helpful online tools, including the 2009 Pennsylvania Travel Guide, which is also known as the Pennsylvania Pursuits Insiders Guide.

The annual guide, which is published by the state Department of Community and Economic Development, highlights attractions, accommodations, and must-see points of interest in the Commonwealth.

Information in the guide is divided into seven regional sections including the Great Lakes Region, Pennsylvania Wilds, Northeast Mountain Region, Philadelphia and Its Countryside, Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Central Mountains and Valleys, and Pittsburgh and Its Countryside.

Copies of the guide are available at Moul’s district office which is located at: 30 West Middle Street, Gettysburg. Additional information, including an electronic copy of the travel guide, and several travel-planning tools are also available online by visiting Moul’s Web site at www.RepMoul.com.
