Moul Bill Would Strengthen Penalties for Non Payment of Child Support
WHAT: Rep. Dan Moul (R-Adams) will testify before the House Judiciary Committee on his legislation to impose tougher penalties for willful failure to pay child support. Previously, Moul was successful in getting his deadbeat parent legislation passed into law, enabling the state to extradite parents back to Pennsylvania to face charges for willful non-payment of child support. His new legislation -- House Bill 1106 -- would make it a misdemeanor of the third degree if an individual commits a second or subsequent offense of deliberate non-payment or if an individual owes support equal to 12 months of his or her monthly support obligation.

WHEN: Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 10 a.m.

WHERE: Room 205 Ryan Office Building, Harrisburg

WEBSTREAMING: The House Judiciary Committee meeting will be streamed LIVE on Moul’s website at beginning at 10 a.m.
